Will the power stations and inverters work with Canadian outlets?
Yes. The stations and inverters in the catalog output 120 V at 60 Hz and have NEMA 5-15 outlets, the plugs on ordinary Canadian cords. Check the wattage first: a kettle or a space heater can exceed what a small unit can deliver.
Can I wire a panel straight to a battery?
Only a tiny trickle panel. Anything bigger needs a charge controller between panel and battery to stop overcharging. PWM controllers suit panels whose voltage matches the battery; higher-voltage strings need MPPT.
How do I know a panel suits my controller?
Compare the panel's Voc, the open-circuit voltage, with the controller's maximum input, and leave margin because Voc rises on cold mornings. Every panel in the catalog lists Voc and Isc, and our wiring review checks the sums for you.
Do you install systems?
We sell the parts and help with planning, diagrams and first power-up by phone or video. Work that connects to your home's AC wiring or to the utility must be done by a licensed electrician and may need a permit.
How is shipping priced?
Orders go by courier across Canada. Small parts and heavy items such as wheeled stations, panels and AGM batteries are priced differently, so we confirm the carrier, the price and the delivery time by phone before payment.
Are prices in US dollars, and what about tax?
Prices are in USD. The GST, HST or PST that applies in your province is added when we confirm your order, before you pay.
